Georgia Governor Nathan Deal has picked his candidate for the coming presidential election.
He's supporting Mitt Romney and he says he's confident Georgia voters will too. Deal is a Republican governor and he had been a strong supporter of Newt Gingrich until he dropped out of the race early this month.
Deal says he's certain voters who support a conservative to take the White House in November will end up backing Romney.
"I think Governor Deal has the right idea that Mitt Romney should be the president of the United States. I agree whole heartedly," said Georgia voter Patricia Blackmoore.
"When I sit down and look at both presidential candidates, I still think President Obama would be the best for the economy," said Georgia voter Calvin Lucas.
Deal is quoted saying about Romney, "He's conservative enough for me."
