Early voting for the 2012 primary election begins Saturday in Leon County. Registered voters will have 8 days to vote early, from August 4th to August 11th.
The 2012 Primary Election will take place August 14th. Sample ballots were sent out to all registered Leon County voters and voters can actually fill out their sample ballots and bring them to the early voting locations. The Leon County board of elections says this helps overflowing lines on election day.
"Early voting redistributes the voting process to make sure are voting system is not overwhelemed here in Leon County and in the state of Florida," said Leon County Elections Supervisor Ion Sancho.
There are five early voting locations. They are:
The Woodville Community Center and Public Library: 8000 Old Woodville Road, Tallahassee.
The Ft. Braden Branch Public Library: 16327 Blountstown Highway, Tallahassee.
The Northeast Branch Public Library: 5513 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee.
The Eastside Branch Public Library: 1583 Pedrick Road, Tallahassee.
The Leon County Courthouse: 301 S Monroe Street, Tallahassee.
Voting will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the courthouse and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the four library sites. August 11th, all locations will be open from 8 a.m to 6 p.m.
