Tallahassee, Florida - June 20, 2012 -
A new poll of Florida voters shows 60% in favor of Governor Rick Scott's effort to purge potential non-citizens from the state's voter rolls.
The Quinnipiac University survey released showed 35% opposed to the governor's effort and five percent didn't have an opinion. Some see it as a way to suppress minority turnout. A separate question in the same poll showed that 56% supported Florida's stand your ground law.. which allows people to defend themselves with deadly force if they feel their lives are in danger.
