With the presidential election less than four months away, one of the big questions is 'Who will Mitt Romney choose as his running mate?'
A new Fox news poll shows that Republican voters think that two minorities, former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice and Florida Senator Marco Rubio, would be good fits.
"Condoleeza Rice has big name recognition relative to some of the other potential candidates out there, and I think people kind of recognize the importance of potentially considering an African-American and a female vice presidential candidate," said Florida State University political science professor Robert Jackson.
Jackson suggests that it is a shift in thinking for GOP voters, and maybe the GOP itself in considering the candidates. Even Democrats around here think Rice would be a good fit.
"Condoleeza Rice has done a good job under the Bush administration, even though I didn't really care for that, she's a good talker, a good speaker, and a good person," said Walter Brown, and Obama supporter.
It remains to be seen whether Romney will choose between Rice, Rubio, or someone else.
Donna Morgan of Tallahassee says she is supporting Romney, but she doesn't know who the right pick is.
"I'm on the fence between Condoleeza Rice and Rubio. They're both excellent choices, and both of them would benefit Romney's position running, and his presidency," said Morgan.
