Valdosta, GA -- January 25, 2012 --

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office recently received a complaint of child molestation which was alleged to have occurred approximately six {6} years ago. According to the victim, who is now sixteen {16} years old, he lived with his father, Joseph Terrell and step-mother, Annitta Roberts, at an address in Lowndes County.

While living in the home, the child was enticed to perform sexual acts with Annitta Roberts. Joseph Terrell is alleged to have participated and watched the acts as they occurred. The child later moved to live with his mother and recently disclosed the events that had occurred.

During the investigation the information provided by the child was corroborated and arrest warrants were issued.

Both of these persons appeared for an Arraignment Hearing on January 24 before a Lowndes County Magistrate Judge. Bond for both persons was denied.
