Bapu’s Chili (pronounced bah-poo)

Ingredients


2lbs ground beef

1lb ground pork

1 green bell pepper, chopped

2 red bell peppers, chopped

2 orange bell peppers, chopped

1 large onion, chopped

3 jalapenos, chopped

4 cans crushed tomatoes

4 cans dark red kidney beans

4 cans light red kidney beans

Salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, cumin, chili powder, Tabasco, and oregano to taste



Directions

Saute the ground beef and pork until done. Add the onions, bell peppers and jalapenos and cook until slightly softened. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, spices and two cups of water. Bring the chili to a boil, stirring constantly. Once it starts boiling, reduce heat and simmer for two hours.
