FSU is in the midst of a 48-hour fundraising blitz called the Great Give.
It also kicked off the 25 for 25 campaign - asking faculty and staff to donate to improve all eight FSU libraries, most notably Strozier Library in the heart of campus.
FSU Interim President Garnett Stokes says improving the libraries is key to propelling FSU to a top 25 ranking among public colleges and universities.
The Dean of FSU libraries says the university has three million books and journals in its collection and millions more electronic resources. She says FSU's library is among the top 100 in the country.
The Great Give - a push for students and alumni to donate - lasts through tomorrow at 9pm.
