TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Ruby Diamond Foundation has awarded $9,160 for scholarships to Army and Navy ROTC students at Florida A&M University (FAMU).
The FAMU Foundation will be awarding students, preferably natives of Tallahassee or surrounding areas, that have a financial need. The selection criteria is based on the results of the student’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Students must have at least a 3.0 grade point average and in his or her first or second year in the ROTC program.
“The University is appreciative of the generous support of the Ruby Diamond Foundation,” said FAMU President James H. Ammons. “Our students are always looking for ways to supplement their college cost.”
Ruby Diamond, a native of Tallahassee, graduated from Florida State College for Women now known as Florida State University.
