TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) --
Florida's Division of Elections listed a redistricting measure as Amendment 7 on Tuesday and a class size proposal as Amendment 8 on Wednesday.
Supporters say Amendment 7 is needed to clarify a pair of citizens initiatives -- Amendments 5 and 6 -- designed to curtail gerrymandering in legislative and congressional redistricting.
Initiative backers say it would undermine their proposals. Amendment 8 would loosen class size limits voters approved in 2002. It's expected to cut class size costs by millions.
