Bright House Networks Announces 2012 Bright Futures Campaign
Bright House Networks recently announced the implementation of its 2012 Bright Futures Campaign.

Birmingham, AL -- February 6, 2012 --
Bright House Networks recently announced the implementation of its 2012 Bright Futures Campaign. The Bright Futures Campaign is a two part educational initiative that recognizes Educators and Students that teach and attend schools in Bright House Networks service areas. The Laptop Scholarship Program recognizes high school seniors matriculating to college with a new laptop, related software, and carrying case for their leadership skills, academic achievements and community service activities. The Classroom Grant Program is available to area educators in K-12 programs who demonstrate creative learning experiences utilizing advanced technology, web based instruction, and/or cable programming to enhance the quality of education in our communities.
“The Bright Futures Laptop Scholarship program is designed to recognize young people in the Birmingham service area for their contributions to their schools and communities,” said Scott Horne, VP/GM – Bright House Networks Birmingham Division. “Our decision to present this opportunity again to local high school seniors allows us to continue our commitment to the communities where our customers and employees live and work.”
All 2012 applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be a fulltime senior attending a high school within a Bright House Networks Service area
Demonstrate leadership abilities in school activities or through work experiences
Demonstrate a strong commitment to community service involvement
In addition to the completed application form, applicants must include a one-page essay describing the importance of leadership and community service
All applications for the 2012 Student Scholarship Program must be complete and postmarked by March 16, 2011. Application forms have been mailed to guidance counselors at every high school in the Bright House Networks service community. Applications are available online at brighthouse.com/brightfutures

Bright House Networks is proud to announce the continuation of the Bight Futures Classroom Grant Program, which is designed to be an on-going program to assist educators with new and innovative projects. Teachers must demonstrate their creative use of cable programming, web sites, streaming video and broadband tools in developing creative learning opportunities for students. Teachers are asked to submit an application including a Project Summary and Evaluation Form including support material for the project. There is no deadline associated with the Educator Grant Program as Educators will be recognized and grants will be awarded year-round.
