Tallahassee, Fla. -- New mobile apps, robots and tech start-ups by Florida State University students were front and center today at DIGITECH, an open house designed to showcase technology-based student innovations.

"DIGITECH shows how technology can be used in a variety of disciplines, merging the creative world with the scientific one," said Ken Baldauf, director of Florida State's Program in Interdisciplinary Computing and coordinator of DIGITECH.

DIGITECH visitors had the opportunity to participate in workshops and explore dozens of student exhibits - from technology start-ups, robots and music compositions, to 3-D motion pictures, scientific visualizations and mobile apps. The College of Music will provided an electronic music performance, and the event was free and open to the public.
