Leon County, Florida - Feb. 8, 2012 -
It is with great pride that I announce the five finalists for the 2012 Leon County Schools Teacher of the Year. All of our teachers demonstrate a special level of dedication and excellence every day and to be named one of the top five is certainly an honor.
Congratulations go to:
Kimberly Glenn, Conley Elementary School
Julie McBride, Gilchrist Elementary School
Stephanie Hartman, Oak Ridge Elementary School
Reginald Isom, Rickards High School
Sylvia Myers, Sullivan Elementary School
I also want to congratulate all of the teachers who were selected as their school’s Teacher of the Year. We have so many talented teachers in Leon County that selecting just five finalists was a very difficult job for the selection committee.
We look forward to announcing our district winner on Thursday, February 16th.
Congratulations teachers!
Jackie Pons, Superintendent
