Tallahassee, FL - With thousands of area students ready to go back to class, one group is making sure they're well prepared.
The Children's Home Society of Florida is collecting supplies for students ages 3-21. Anyone can donate from notebooks and pencils to crayons and paper.
The goal: stuff 400 new backpacks for students in the eight counties they serve in the Big Bend. The most need supplies are actually for high school students.
"It's very important that we have backpacks for high school students and graphing calculators," said Jen Albaugh, director of development for the Children's Home Society.
You can drop off supplies Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. The office is located at 1801 Miccosukee Commons Drive.
