Business owners can be described in one word: busy. This is especially true during the holiday season. Understanding this, the City of Tallahassee is unwrapping a new electronic business portal that will save City vendors time and money. This new electronic business portal, appropriately named BIZ-e, will serve as a self-service tool, allowing vendors to access important payment information at their convenience.
“We believe vendors are going to appreciate this free, time-saving business tool designed to streamline services by providing a secure online setting in which they can access important information 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said Raoul Lavin, director of Management and Administration Services. “Ultimately, BIZ-e will make it easier than ever for vendors to do business with the City.”
BIZ-e, which is available starting today, allows current City vendors to sign-up by completing a short registration form on Talgov.com. Once the form has been submitted, City staff will verify the information, complete the registration process and confirm the user’s password. Registered vendors can then access the portal to make changes to their contact information and view the status of invoices, purchase orders and payments.
Current vendors can expect to receive an email with a direct link to the online registration form. Businesses that choose to do business with the City in the future will also have access to the portal. In time, the City plans to further enhance BIZ-e’s functionality by adding new components and features.
