News Release: Four Points by Sheraton
TALLAHASSEE — Local businesses and residents are encouraged to participate in the 19th annual Community Give-Away hosted by the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. The Four Points by Sheraton Tallahassee Downtown is accepting donations of toys through December 13, and the hotel will match every toy donated.
“Last year, the Community Give-Away provided 800 gifts for local families,” said hotel general manager Bo Schmitz. “With the donations from our local residents and businesses, we hope to break that record and help make the holidays special for our neighbors."
As a complementary effort for the Christmas Corporate Challenge, Four Points by Sheraton Tallahassee Downtown has launched a contest to encourage reusing and recycling in the Tallahassee community this holiday season. Businesses are encouraged to bring an empty box of any size, wrapped in office materials they would have otherwise thrown away. The most creative entry will win a complimentary luncheon for the company’s staff in the new year.
Four Points by Sheraton Tallahassee Downtown is a Starwood hotel property and is locally owned and operated. The hotel is expected to receive LEED certification by January 2014. One of the hotel’s main priorities is sustainable living and environmental awareness.
