Tallahassee, FL - From noon until 2, volunteers fed residents who would be eating alone or maybe not at all this Christmas.
Guests received a warm dinner, enjoyed live Christmas Carols, and even left with a goodie bag full of snacks and necessities.
For the last 25 years, the dinner has been funded by donations and is put on by volunteers from the community.
"There's still that need and probably even greater than 25 years ago and it's become a tradition. They know we're here. We're here for them and we're here for the volunteers too, because they come and I think it fills a special need for them also", says Gloria Whitacker,Co-Coordinator for Trinity Community Christmas Dinner.
Whitacker says the dinner gives everyone in Tallahassee the opportunity to feel a sense of community.
