Both FSU & FAMU basketball fans have been soothed by great starts out of their women's teams. The Story is this week's She's got game.
The college basketball season has pushed the non-conference schedule into the rear-view mirror and has put a definite focus on the games that truly matter...
See in the ACC, Coach Sue Semrau's Lady Noles have been fueled by upset victories against the SEC (LSU) and the Big 12 (Texas A&M) in order to drive them through two early battles against Virginia Tech.
FSU Head Women's Basketball Coach Sue Semrau says:
"Starting out (2-0) in the conference is great... They (NC State) will be ready for us."
That by the way is a 7pm matchup Thursday in Raleigh, North Carolina. As for the Orange & Green, the FAMU women's basketball team are at the top of the MEAC... (3-0) in conference play shows that the lady Rattlers are truly believing in first year head coach LeDawn Gibson.
FAMU Head Women's Basketball Coach LeDawn Gibson says:
"That's definitely a boost to our confidence, especially to do it shorthanded like we have done."
So when it comes to college hoops, the Capital City has two programs that so far have proven to be leading ladies within their conferences.
