Got Game: Gymnastics
Gymnastics has been dominant in the state of Georgia on all levels.

Most of the attention regarding female sports in the month of January is directed towards basketball or even high school soccer... But the month has also balanced another sport that seems to be dominant throughout Georgia.
When the spotlight shines, gymnastics seems to have girls flipping out in the Peach State. In the last year alone, we've seen the sport glamorize the lives of some young ladies from both Thomasville and Moultrie (Georgia) on the YMCA Nationals level.
Of course you can't overlook the National Champs on the collegiate level. Last year, the Gym Dogs of the University of Georgia captured their 9th title-- tying them with Utah for the all-time lead. That's why this past Monday's regular season meet with the Lady Utes was the ultimate showdown. The two powerhouses were tied going into the final rotation before UGA "floor exercised" a big victory.
UGA Head Gymnastics Coach Suzanne Yoculan says:
"Just go out there... They were afraid to make mistakes and were worried about the score but they needed to pull it together and they did on the floor exercise."
The win puts them at (3-0) on the year and shows they are ready to defend their title.
Yoculan says
"Whenever you go against a Top Team early in the season, it's a good indicator for later on... Then in February we have UF and that'll be a good one because they are number 1 right now."
And there's no doubt that the sport of gymnastics ranks number 1 for all of these Got Gamers.
