The softball spotlight has been dominated this year by FSU and VSU
The noles have 32 wins on the year. The lady blazers have 43 wins on the year... But that doesn't mean the FAMU softball can't get love too. When it comes to conference play, they're undefeated.

The lady rattlers have gone up against FSU twice this year, and lost twice. But it seems those 2 losses helped the Orange & Green figure out what it was going to take to be great. Since then, they've rattled off 6 straight MEAC victories and are closing in on a MEAC Title.

FAMU Junior Pitcher/ Infielder Melissa Oliphant says:
"We're 9-0 in the conference.."

FAMU Freshman Jasmin Donaldson says:
"everybody knows their role and what they have to do each game. Everybody has been playing as a team. Everybody has 1 goal and that's to win MEAC."

Coach Veronica Wiggins' main weapons this year happen to be the arm of MEAC Pitcher of the Week Amanda reyes and the bat of Rhianna Green. Both are reasons for Famu's success.

FAMU Junior Pitcher Amanda Reyes says:
"We're really showing out on the field and that's a big improvement. It's good to come do what we are supposed to do."

The ladies swing back to action this Thursday against Jacksonville University... They keep throwing strikes and they just might strike up alot of postseason success.

Oliphant says
"What is it going to take to get this program back where it needs to be? Everyone has been sticking to that plan and it's worked really well."
