The Lady Noles have a few seniors on the squad with a ton of talent... jacinta monroe is the headliner, but don't overlook a senior in the backcourt... There's no Gray area about this week's She's Got Game.
The garnet & gold have stormed out to a (16-3) record... And through the first 19 games, 1 of the 3 leading seniors who have torched and tortured opposing teams this year happens to be named Angel Gray. The 5'9'' guard from Stone Mountain, GA has started each game this year, but concentrates more on how she practices.
"Our team has to realize that if we practice hard, it'll show in the game. The game should be the easiest part and that's because we are putting in the work in practice." said Gray.
"Angel (Gray) is the most underrated player in our conference... because of all the intangibles she brings to the floor." said FSU Head Women's Basketball Coach Sue Semrau.
In 19 games this year, she's averaged 25 minutes, 7 points, nearly 5 rebounds per game while dishing out 47 assists, snatching 17 steals and shooting 52 percent from the 3-point line. but her biggest attribute might not just be her on-court performance... Gray's talent is broad enough to score major points in a leadership role either with a team, or perhaps part of a broadcast team.
Angel Gray says:
"I know I do want to be in the sports and in the community... I take that away from Coach Sue and her humbled heart. Antyning to be in sports and help the community, that would be my dream."
"Angel has known her calling and reports well and she has a great personality... she's gonna be somebody to reckon with in the field of TV and Sports Reporting." concluded Coach Semrau.
