Freshman Ready To Add To Women's Basketball Success

Over the past ten years- seven FSU Women's Basketball Players have been drafted to the WNBA- The team has shot to the top of the ACC- and recruited top caliber athletes
Freshman Forward Tay'ler Mingo, "Just the potential that the team has that I see and the coaches have expressed to be from day one, that automatically drew me here."
And with a brand new season ahead of them, their new freshman class is ready to help take their team to the top.
"I'm just working on getting myself better so I can help my team in every way possible whenever they call on me for whatever they need." Freshman Guard Olivia Breshnahan says.
"I'm here to learn and just grow anyway I can." says Freshman Forward Lauren Coleman.
The new freshman four are also ready to take to the court and learn from their veteran teammates.
Freshman Forward Natasha Howard says, "I think I look up to Sierra the most- she's from where I live at in Ohio, so she's a good player, she works hard and puts in a lot of time"
"Definitely Courtney Ward, She's definitely stepped up and she's led this team to some amazing places." says Coleman.
With four years ahead of them, they hope they too can add to the program's success...
"I'm just going to follow in their footsteps and learn from their experiences"
...and proudly wear the garnet and gold.
"When we finally put on these colors it's like we're here, we made it."
