The trip to the NCAA tournament is special for each player on the Seminole roster, but for Senior Courtney Ward, the start of this trip is taking her back to her roots.

"You got a little something to prove coming back to all those hometown fans? Of course, of course, not only because we are playing in Auburn but to prove that we are one of the best teams in the NCAA tournament "

The last time Courtney played in front of her hometown crowd.. things didn't go as she planned...

"As we saw in the beginning of the season, it wasn't all that successful for me, " add Ward.

But this time around, given the circumstances.. she believes things will be different.

"you know, my teammates had my back and that's all that needs to happen when we go there again. "

With this being Courtney's fourth year heading to the NCAA tournament, she understands the last years elite eight appearance was last year, and this year is where the focus needs to be.

"We get one step ahead each time we go so, this time we cant go in and say oh we got to the elite eight so this time we're going to the final four, this year we need to be mentally focused so we get the chance to go to the final four."
