Charlottesville, VA (AP) - A lot has changed at Virginia and
Florida State in the four years since the Cavaliers and Seminoles
last met in football.
Both teams have new head coaches, and the Seminoles under
first-year coach Jimbo Fisher will be unranked for Saturday's
meeting for just the second time in 16 meetings.
The Cavaliers under first-year head coach Mike London say they
can hardly tell the difference. Florida State (3-1) will arrive
leading the nation in sacks with 19, and with a quarterback in
Christian Ponder whose dual-threat skills have him in Heisman
Trophy talk.
The game comes almost 15 years after one of the biggest
victories in Virginia history -- a 33-28 stunner over the No. 2
Seminoles that gave them their first loss in 30 ACC games.
