Athens, GA - Twenty-six University of Georgia student-athletes have been inducted into the inaugural Student-Athlete Leadership Academy.
The student-athletes were chosen for induction based on academic and athletic success, leadership, campus and community service involvement, and recommendations of head coaches and academic counselors.
“The Leadership Academy gives the Athletic Association an opportunity to recognize student-athletes that have excelled in many areas,” said Carla Williams, Georgia’s Associate Athletics Director for Student Services and Senior Woman Administrator. “The program will also provide an opportunity for these student-athletes to hone their leadership skills as well as compete for awards and scholarships.”
The inaugural inductees are:

Gymnastics: Noel Couch, Towaco, N.J.; Grace Taylor Johnson, Aiken, S.C.
Soccer: Jenna Buckley, Atlanta, Ga.; Marah Falle, Lilburn, Ga.
Softball: Alisa Goler, Frankfort, Ill.; Taylor Schlopy, West Hills, Calif.
