Athens, GA (AP) - A young Georgia team is learning there is
more to coach Andy Landers' new up-tempo style than just the fun of
fast-break baskets.

Landers says his players, including eight freshmen and
sophomores, enjoyed the new style for the first few days of
practice. Then came the realization that it is a physical grind to
maintain the frentic pace.

Georgia is No. 19 in The Associated Press Top 25 preseason poll.
The Lady Bulldogs lost two starters, including guard Ashley Houts,
from a 25-9 team that advanced to the Sweet 16 of last season's
NCAA tournament.

Georgia will be smaller after losing 6-foot-5 center Angela
Robinson. Landers decided to turn up the pace with his younger and
smaller roster.

Sophomore guard Jasmine James is the leading returning scorer.
