Valdosta, GA -- Valdosta State was named as one of the 48 teams in the men’s tennis NCAA Division II National Tournament field. The Blazers are one of nine teams from the NCAA’s South Region and is seeded sixth. Valdosta State will face the No. 3 seed Barry at 2 p.m. Saturday on Lynn’s campus in Boca Raton, Fla.

Fort Valley State
West Florida hosts the South Region 1 site with the No. 4 seed Rollins, No. 5 Saint Leo, No 8 West Alabama and No. 9 Fort Valley State while No. 2 Lynn host the South Region 2 site with No. 3 Barry, No. 6 Valdosta State and No. 7 Florida Southern.
The Blazers have faced West Florida twice, Lynn, Barry and West Alabama twice so far this season, going a combined 2-4 with a combined score of 16-32 against those opponents, dropping both matches to West Florida (8-1, 5-1) as well as matches against Lynn (8-1) and Barry (9-0). The Blazers beat West Alabama twice (8-1, 5-1).
If Valdosta State is successful against the 21-5 Barry team, next up will be the winner between Lynn (18-3) and Florida Southern (13-11).
