Thomasville, GA - The St. Thomas University Bobcats (4-3, 1-1) took a bite out of the Lady Night Hawks (7-3-1, 2-2), with a 3-1 Sun Conference win on Sunday afternoon at the Wendy's Soccer Complex.
TU opened up the scoring with a goal by freshman Jessica Straquadine at the 39:25 mark of the first half. STU would respond less than four minutes later, sending the teams into the half with the game tied at one. The Bobcats jumped ahead, scoring a goal just 3:20 into the second half and would go on to dominate large portions of the second half compiling 16 shots (six on goal). St. Thomas put the game away, scoring off a corner kick with 22 seconds left in regulation, for the two goal advantage.
Thomas will look to rebound on Friday October 5th when they travel to Lakes Wales, FL to face Warner University in a pivotal TSC match. Kickoff is set for 7PM.
