Athens, GA - The Georgia football team kicked off a new month and its preparations for this week's game with Idaho State with an hour-long workout session on the Woodruff Practice Fields on Monday.
The Bulldogs (4-5 overall, 3-4 SEC) will step out of conference to face the Bengals Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Sanford Stadium. Idaho State of the Big Sky Conference is 1-7 overall. Saturday’s game will be televised by Atlanta’s WSB Channel 2.
Even though the Bulldogs do not have an SEC game this week, Coach Mark Richt said everything will be business as usual.
"Today, we just got back to work," Richt said. "That's all we can do right now. We did our weights and our running and we watched film of the Florida game to make our corrections. We're moving forward, and we'll go from there. The guys are used to the physicality of the practices, so we'll stay with that. Tuesday, we'll put on the pads and get after it."
Richt said the captains for this week's game will be Ben Jones, Demarcus Dobbs, Darryl Gamble and Drew Butler.
It also was announced Monday that the Saturday, Nov. 13, game featuring Georgia at Auburn will be televised by CBS with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. Georgia has appeared on CBS 64 times, including last week's game in Jacksonville, and has posted a 36-27-1 record. Verne Lundquist, Gary Danielson and Tracy Wolfson will make up the broadcast team.
