Eddie Barnes will have his hands full this season. Only one member returns from a team that was one win shy of advancing to the NJCAA championships last year. Nine new members will make up the 2010-2011 Eagles roster of which six are freshman and three are transferring sophomores.
"You're either going to have them for one year or two years and unfortunately we had a lot of kids go away last year, signed
TCC men's head basketball coach Eddie Barnes says,
with four year schools. They're very successful. Got a good group in, then again it's a challenge every year. That's what makes it so interesting."
Even with the youth and inexperience, coach Barnes believes he has assembled a team that will continue the winning tradition of TCC basketball.
Eddie Barnes adds,
"I'm very excited about our freshmen class. We've done a good job at bringing in some sophomores in. It's all about buying into what we do and what we believe. I think these kids will. We have some good kids and they have a little blue collar in them so they want to be successful and they want to work hard and hopefully the things we do will help them."
