Tallahassee, FL - Both Florida State cross country teams have hit the road for the start of the championship stretch this season.
The Seminoles are in Terre Haute, Ind. to take part in the NCAA Pre-National Meet on the same course that the NCAA Championship races will be held on later this season.
Head coach Karen Harvey’s No. 3-ranked women’s squad will compete in the 6k Blue Race starting at noon (Eastern Time). Competing against FSU in that race will be Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Ball State, BYU, Central Michigan, California, Clemson, Colorado State, Columbia, Dartmouth, Dayton, Eastern Kentucky, Illinois State, Iowa, Iowa State, Liberty, Loyola Marymount, Marquette, Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Portland, Princeton, Providence, Purdue, Richmond, Southern Utah, Texas, UCLA, UTEP, Vanderbilt, William & Mary, Washington, Weber State and Wichita State.
As for the men’s head coach Bob Braman’s 15th-ranked team will run shortly thereafter in the 8k Blue Race at 1:10 p.m. (Eastern Time).
The men’s team will be competing against Arizona, Baylor, Binghamton, California, Clemson, Colorado State, Dartmouth, Dayton, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iona, Louisville, Marquette, McNeese State, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi, Montana, Montana State, North Carolina, Northern Arizona, Nebraska, Ohio State, Princeton, Purdue, Richmond, South Dakota State, Stanford, UCLA, Utah Valley, UTEP, William & Mary, Washington.
While the top runners on the men’s and women’s teams will be running in Indiana, the rest of the Seminoles will be competing in Charlotte, NC at the Royal Cross Country Challenge.
