Ft. Lauderdale, FL - The Florida State Seminoles arrived in Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday afternoon to officially kickoff the festivities for the Orange Bowl.
The 'Noles were met by members of the Orange Bowl Committee (who were gripping oranges) after they stepped off the plane on an orange carpet.
Jimbo Fisher briefly spoke to the media.
"It's the first time we've been here in seven years," he said, "to be able to win a conference championship and to have the opportunity to win our first BCS game in 12 years, I think it's a huge step." I think we've taken a lot of steps this year to get us back in that national prominence."
The 'Noles that went directly to the team hotel at the Westin Diplomat.
They will hold their first workout in South Florida at Nova Southeastern University at 11:15 a.m. They'll follow with a team dinner.
WCTV will have complete coverage of all the activities leading up to and including the Orange Bowl.
