Florida State has faced Notre Dame once, defeating the Irish to advance to the 2011 Sweet 16.
Noles are coming off a 78-66 loss to Virginia. The noles turned it over 18 times and will look to bounce back against the Irish.
"I think we can improve in those areas but its not as much as what we didn't do but sometimes you have to give other teams credit for doing a good job and in this particular case they outplayed us," FSU Head Basketball Coach Leonard Hamilton said.
"Most of the turnovers, self inflicted, can correct those, trying to stay positive, lot of basketball to play," FSU senior forward Okaro White said.
The Irish can score, averaging nearly 78 points a game. Notre Dame could present FSU with some fits on defense.
"They shoot the ball well from the perimeter. They have a tendency to go small and still perform well. Sometimes those games are challenging for us because it causes us to not be able to play Boris and Ojo as much as we'd like to because they are guarding three point shooters and thats not what they do," Hamilton said.
In other news FSU signee Cinmeon Bowers along with two Chipola Junior College teammates was arrested Thursday for alledgedly eating marijuana.
Bowers was trying to conceal it from officers during a traffic stop.
Bowers was averaging 14 points and 8 rebounds a game for Chipola. He has been suspended indefinitely until the legal process is resolved.
