Tallahassee, FL - The Florida State women’s basketball program will host its lone exhibition game of the 2010-11 season this Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Donald L. Tucker Center against the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Led by 2010 Second Team All-ACC selection Courtney Ward, the exhibition matchup will provide Tallahassee residents the first opportunity to see the new-look Seminoles.
Fresh off the first Elite Eight appearance in program history, Ward will guide a roster heavy on young, up-and-coming talent. In addition to three second-year players in Alexa Deluzio, Chelsea Davis, Chasity Clayton and Leonor Rodriguez, FSU head coach Sue Semrau and her staff have also welcomed a freshmen foursome of Natasha Howard, Tay’ler Mingo, Olivia Bresnahan and Lauren Coleman.
In addition to Ward, senior guard Christian Hunnicutt and junior forward Cierra Bravard also return for the ’Noles as the other veteran playmakers.
Sunday’s game will be free admission.
