Team Jackson Kicking camp made its way to South Georgia to teach local athletes ranging from ages 1-020 the skills needed to be successful as a punter, field goal kicker and long snapper.
"We have beginers at our camp and make it where our staff can work with beginners and show them basic skills," camp owner Brian Jackson said.
We caught up with some of the campers to get their thoughts.
What do you try to take away from it?
"A lot just technique take it back when season comes back around use it in the season and it helps me a lot," Thomasville High School kicker Hunter James said.
"It's an awesome experience thats the best kicker in college football rihght there to look at him and learn from him thats a great opportunity," Thomas County Central High Shcool and future Murray State Kicker Gavin Wilson said.
2013 Lou Groza Award winner and current Florida State kicker Roberto Aguayo was a camp counselor. We mic'd up Aguayo has he made his way around camp hnading out some useful pointers to some future stars.
"It's just giving them the confidence to get them to hit a good ball and if they hit a good ball, you tell them they hit a good ball. You have to build them now," Aguayo said.
The counselors wanted to have some fun, wanted to see if I was paying attention and if I learned something so they put me up the test to kick against a 12 year old.
