Bradenton, Fla. -- About 12 hours before his alma mater claimed the national football championship title, Todd Williams, former Florida State, and later NFL, offensive tackle, was found dead in a Tampa area hotel room.

Deputies say Williams' body was found at Sarasota Suites on North Tamiami Trail in Sarasota around 11:15 Monday morning. It appears he had been staying in the hotel for a while.

Deputies say there is nothing suspicious. No foul play is suspected, and the body will be turned over to the medical center.

William's body was found by his mother, who was checking on his well-being at the hotel.
