Tulsa, OK - The University of Georgia men’s tennis team got two victories Thursday at the ITA/D’Novo Men’s All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla., as senior Javier Garrapiz and junior Sadio Doumbia picked up wins in the back draw at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Garrapiz defeated Artem Baradach of SMU, 6-2, 6-1, while Doumbia edged Pepperdine's Finn Tierney, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Garrapiz will meet Texas' Ed Corrie tomorrow and Doumbia will take on the overall No. 1 seed in the singles draw in Tennessee's J.P. Smith. Both matches are set for 12:30 p.m. ET in second round action.
