Athens, GA - The Georgia women’s swimming and diving team remained perfect on the season and extended its home dual-meet winning streak with a 180-120 victory over Florida on Friday at Gabrielsen Natatorium.

In the men’s meet, Florida posted a 170-130 win over the Bulldogs.

“I was really proud of both teams today,” Georgia head coach Jack Bauerle said. “I thought we competed with a lot of toughness and a lot of pride. We had some people really step up today. I saw a lot of improvement from our first meet to this one, and that always makes a coach proud. We’ll keep working hard, and I think both teams will be pretty darn good when it’s all said and done.”

The Lady Bulldogs improved to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the SEC with Friday’s win. Georgia also won for the 72nd straight time at Gabrielsen Natatorium, a streak that dates back to the 1995-96 season. The Lady Bulldogs are 73-1 all-time at home.
