Tallahassee, FL - The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) released its first regular season poll of the 2010-11 season on Wednesday and Tallahassee Community College earned a No. 10 ranking.

The Lady Eagles, off to a 4-0 start, made a 19-spot leap from the NJCAA's preseason poll, which had Tallahassee at No. 29.

Tallahassee is one of three Panhandle Conference schools in the top ten. Defending national champion Gulf Coast Community College is No. 1 while Pensacola State College is No. 3.

Gulf Coast, Pensacola State and Tallahassee are ranked No. 1 through No. 3, respectively, in the current Florida Community College Activities Association's (FCCAA) Women's Basketball Coaches' Poll.

Two other Florida schools are in this week's Top 25 - No. 20 College of Central Florida and No. 23 Chipola College, which gives the PC four schools in the national poll.

A sixth Florida school - Indian River State College - received votes.

Tallahassee will return to action on Friday, November 26 in Decatur, Ga., at the Georgia Perimeter College Classic.
