Miami Finds that Takeaways Can Come in Bunches

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) -- Miami works on forcing turnovers at
every practice, even while acknowledging there's an element of luck
involved when it comes to getting takeaways on game day.
Last week, the 13th-ranked Hurricanes hit the jackpot at
Clemson.
And they wouldn't mind doing it again against No. 23 Florida
State on Saturday.
Against Clemson, Miami forced six turnovers, its most since 2005
and matching the second-highest total by any team in major college
football this season. Oregon had seven takeaways against Arizona
State on Sept. 25.
Still, the Hurricanes had to sweat out a 30-21 win in their
Atlantic Coast Conference opener -- and are now prepping for their
archrival.
