TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Bert Reed's 42-yard touchdown run on a
reverse lifted 16th-ranked Florida State to a 24-19 win Saturday
over Boston College as the Seminoles overcame four turnovers by
quarterback Christian Ponder to win their fifth straight.
Boston College (2-4, 0-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) took a 19-17
lead early in the fourth quarter on Nate Freese's fourth field goal
of the game. That followed a Ponder fumble at the Eagles' 44.
Ponder, who suffered through one of his poorest performances,
completed 19 of 31 passes for 170 yards and a pair of touchdowns --
3 yards to Lonnie Pryor and 10 yards to Beau Reliford.
Montel Harris rushed for 191 yards and safety Jim Noel had two
of three BC interceptions, including one he returned 43 yards for a
third quarter touchdown that pulled the Eagles to within 17-16.
Florida State (6-1, 4-0 ACC) led 14-6 at halftime.

Job well done, BC was a tough customer. They didn't stop nor did you. The team has a bye week, take the time to heal, rest and get ready for the Wolfpack. I'll beside you at every play of the game.

Congratulations for a victory! I now understand why FSU does not pay for me to be a coach or a premium for my comments. I would like to encourage Christian to play up to his ability. I am ok with mistakes, lord knows I have made many. Christian Ponder has more talent than any QB in America. FSU has An incredible coaching staff, players with exceptional speed and ability. I am proud to be a fan. I was a fan when we were 0-11. To Christian your best. No more or no less. To our call the plays, you are the quaterback coach and head coach. Can you explain to our less than full stadium fans, as to why you called and allowed 4 interceptions ( I know one was called back ) thrown to the strong side, with the same pattern, without regard to # 93 , my thinking is that you should thank coach Stoops for his defensive strategy, Give the talented Greg Reid a compass ( only with 2 poles...north and south ) Throw the dadgum ball downfield once in a while.
