Gainesville, FL (AP) - Kenny Boynton scored 22 points, Erving
Walker added 11 and No. 9 Florida beat Georgetown College 88-62 in
an exhibition game Wednesday night.
Vernon Macklin had 10 points for the Gators, while Chandler
Parsons flirted with a triple-double. He finished with nine points,
10 rebounds and seven assists.
Florida mostly dominated the undersized Tigers, scoring 50
points in the paint, getting to the free-throw line 20 times and
taking advantage of 14 offensive rebounds. But the Gators also gave
up 13 offensive rebounds and committed 20 turnovers.
Georgetown trailed 44-19 at halftime, but played even with
Florida the rest of the way -- prompting Gators coach Billy Donovan
to bench his starters early in the second half.
Vic Moses led the Tigers with 15 points.
