Tallahassee, FL - Jacob Pugh said he's 100 percent committed to Florida State despite the departure of former Seminoles defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt.
The Godby senior was initially wavering on his commitment. He found out on Twitter that Pruitt was leaving for Georgia. But after the shock subsided, he sat down with his family and close friends to talk about the situation.
"Don't go somewhere for the coach, go somewhere for the school, the team. And don't just commit myself to a coach," Pugh said. "I'm going to a program where I'll be for the next four years of my life. So I just had to make a smart decision and also talk it over with my pastor, pastor Faley. My mom, we had a talk and we just came to a conclusion, I'm 100 percent firm to Florida State and I ain't going nowhere."
Pugh is expected to play linebacker for the Garnet and Gold. Signing day is February 5th.
