Coral Gables, FL (AP) - Miami interim coach Jeff Stoutland
says the reeling Hurricanes will be ready for their bowl game.
Speaking out Tuesday for the first time since taking over for
the fired Randy Shannon, Stoutland said the remaining Miami
coaching staff is "all-in, all hands on deck" in an effort to end
the season the right way.
Miami expects to be selected for the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas,
on Dec. 31.
Shannon was fired Saturday night after Miami lost to South
Florida, completing a 7-5 regular season. He was 28-22 in four
seasons, and Stoutland was asked to take over Sunday morning.
