Tallahassee, FL - The 2010-11 season will mark 20 years of athletics since Tallahassee Community College reestablished its program in 1990. To commemorate the milestone, TCC Athletics has unveiled a new logo.
Created by Beam Team Design, the new logo maintains TCC’s bold, existing school colors of royal blue and gold, as well as the “T” from the program’s well-known interlocking “TCC” acronym mark. The incorporation of a bold, eye-catching bald eagle – with its strong, gripping talons – along with custom “Tallahassee” lettering displays a unique intensity that will build on the tradition and success of TCC Athletics.
“The interlocking ‘TCC’ is very recognizable, and it will continue to play a prominent role in our brand identity,” said TCC athletic director Rob Chaney. “But in trying to expand TCC Athletics’ reach, both regionally and nationally, we wanted a mark that better promotes who we are.
“Thanks to the efforts of Alan (Beam) and his staff, we now have two marks that complement one another quite well.”
