It's a new season for TCC Eagle Basketball.
"This is TCC, this is big time stuff."
With a new season comes a completely new look from a team that last year finished one win shy of advancing to the NJCAA Championships. Gone are Bernard James, Marvell Waithe, Hugh Robertson and Juevol Myles and in steps a new class to lead the Eagles.
TCC sophomore guard Carlyle Francis says,
"B.J. Marv, Juevol, they really took that leadership role last year but this year I'm going to try and step it up and try to be more vocal and try to lead these guys to victory."
Only one player returns for Eddie Barnes roster, which leaves identity to be determined before the tip off of the season. At their annual Southeastern Jamboree he was able to see his team in action for the first time against someone wearing a different jersey."
TCC head basketball coach Eddie Barnes adds,
"We have a long ways to go. We had a little bit of deer in the headlights for the first time. Not panicking but didn't know what to expect because all they've seen is the innersquad scrimmages we've had and nothing else."
The Eagles will have a month to work out the details they saw in their three games in the jamboree. The season tips off with their annual Wing Zone Tip Off November 4th.
