Tallahassee, FL - Tallahassee Community College’s 20th anniversary season of athletics tips off on Thursday evening when the Eagle men open the 2010-11 basketball season by hosting the Wing Zone Tip-Off Classic.
The College of Coastal Georgia and Lurleen B. Wallace (Ala.) Community College play the evening’s first game at 6 p.m. followed by TCC’s season opener against Marion Military (Ala.) Institute at 8 p.m.
Games on Friday begin at 4 p.m. when Lurleen B. Wallace and Marion Military square off in a battle of Alabama foes, followed by TCC and Coastal Georgia at 6 p.m.

Coach Eddie Barnes’ new-look Eagles includes ten new faces that, along with Francis, will have to replace 93 percent of last year’s scoring and 94 percent of the rebounding.
Barnes will lean heavily on a trio of transfers for game experience and leadership: Richard Anderson (Highland Community College), Derick Beltran (Edward Waters College) and former East Gadsden High School standout Rashard McGill, who transferred to TCC after playing his freshman year at Iona College.
Following Friday’s contest, the Eagles will embark on a five-game road trip before returning home November 24.
Admission is $5 for adults, children 12 and under get in free. TCC students, faculty and staff are admitted free with a valid TCC ID.
