Tampa, FL - Carlyle Francis scored a game-high 23 points to lead FCCAA No. 3 Tallahassee Community College to a 71-53 win at Hillsborough Community College on Friday evening.
The win improved the Eagles' record to 4-0 on the young season, while Hillsborough dropped to 0-2.
Tallahassee led by only six points, 35-29, at the half but outscored the host Hawks 36-24 in the second stanza.
Although Francis was the only double-digit scorer for the Eagles, nine different players scored, including six who scored at least seven points.
Christian Farmer scored nine, followed by Leek Leek with eight. Derrick Beltran, Richard Anderson and Rashard McGill scored seven points each.
Tallahassee continues its five-game road swing with a trip to Brunswick, Ga., on Tuesday evening with a 7:30 p.m. tip against the College of Coastal Georgia.
