OCALA, Fla. (December 4, 2010) - FCCAA No. 3/NJCAA No. 13 Tallahassee Community College (7-1) overcame an 11-point deficit in the second half to defeat Palm Beach State College, 77-68, on day two at the Florida College's Women's Basketball Shootout.
Palm Beach State (3-4) led 39-36 at the half and extended its advantage to as many as 11 points before the Lady Eagles stormed back for their seventh win in eight games.
Tallahassee's Keri Thomas led all scorers with 28 points. Alexis Grant added 13.
The Lady Eagles will return to action on Saturday when they begin a two-game road swing through south Florida. Tallahassee plays Miami Dade College at 2 p.m. Saturday then, after an off day, faces Broward College at 4 p.m. Monday, December 13.
