FCSAA No. 2 Tallahassee Community College dropped a pair of one-run games on Friday afternoon at the season-opening JUCO Kickoff Tournament and Showcase in Clearwater, Fla.
In the opener against State College of Florida, Tallahassee carried a 1-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth but a two-out, two-run single by the Manatees' Cindy Micochero brought home what proved to be the game-winning run in SCF's 2-1 victory.
Tallahassee dropped its second game of the day to St. Petersburg College, 8-7.
The Eagles continue play at the JUCO Kickoff Tournament and Showcase on Saturday with games against Hillsborough Community College (9 a.m.), Pasco-Hernando Community College (1 p.m.) and Miami Dade College (3 p.m.).
