TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Florida State diving team will be well represented at the 2011 Summer World University Games in August. Landon Marzullo and senior Mike Neubacher were two of 12 divers selected to represent the United States at the event in Shenzhen, China, while assistant coach Yahya Radman was selected as one of the team's three coaches.
In his final year of collegiate competition Marzullo earned All-American honors in the three-meter with a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Championships. The Columbus, Ohio native also finished second at the ACC Championships in the one-meter, three-meter and platform events.
Neubacher earned his first career honorable mention All-American honors in 2011 with an 11th-place finish on the platform at the NCAA Championships. The native of Orlando, Fla., also earned All-ACC honors for the second consecutive season with a third-place performance on the platform at the ACC Championships. Neubacher's accomplishments reach outside the pool, being named to the All-ACC Academic team as well.
Radman was an integral part of the Seminole's diving success in his first season at Florida State. In addition to helping FSU divers set personal and school best scores, he was the Meet Director for the USA World Championship Trials held at the Morcom Aquatic Center.
The 2011 Summer World University Games will take place for August 11-23.
